NATURE OF EXAMS |
- There are 4 Class tests conducted in a year. This is to ascertain the progress of the students in the whole year. The Marks are 25 each of only major subjects which totals to 100 marks of each subject.
- At the end of the course a final test will be conducted. This will be of 100 marks for the Major subjects and 50 marks for the management subjects.
- However the final test paper is set for 90 marks for major subjects and 50 marks for the management subjects. The balance 10% will be accounted in the following way. 10% of total marks obtained by the students in the class test will be added in the final test marks.
- This is done to ensure that the students also take the class test seriously by which the lecturer is helped to locate the weak students.
- e) Examination forms : students have to fill their examination forms at the time of contact classes. The draft forRs. 500/- as examination fee hast to be enclosed with the examination form.
- Supplementary Examination : If a student fails in a paper he/she can appear in the next exam conducted by the institution by paying only examination fee Rs. 250/- and by filling relevant form.
- Re-Totaling : Student can also apply for Re-totaling in the maximum of 2 subjects with a fess Rs. 100/- for each paper
- Grace Marks Policy : Grace Marks are given to the extent of maximum 5 marks each in two subjects only.
- The Principal reserves the right to remove from the roll, the name of any student for failure to pay the Institute / Hostel dues in time. The decision of the Principal in matters relating to the general discipline shall be final.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited. Any student found indulging in ragging shall be expelled from the Institute / Hostel.
- Students are strictly forbidden to bring to the institute books, magazines, tools or any other items apart from their prescribed books and tools. All other articles brought for special purpose must be shown to the security and respective lecturer / instructor. Students taking out any object unauthorisedly without prior written permission of the Principal are liable for punishment including dismissal from the institute.
- Students are expected to actively participate in all co-curricular activity such as seminars, dramatics, debates, excursions, sports etc.
- 28. Students are not authorised to make any collections of whatever purpose in the institute. Presentation in honour of the staff member cannot be organised without the written prior permission of the Principal.
- Students must keep their guardian informed of their progress by informing them about their performance in the monthly tests etc. Parents and guardians must realise that the training of their wards is their joint responsibility and check their progress, conduct, regularity of their wards by the Principal personally. Parents must come to meet the Principal without fail whenever they are called.
- Any student who is persistently insubordinate or mischievous or has committed any act serious indiscipline or in the opinion of the Principal has an unwholesome influence on his classmates may be expelled permanently from the institute or suspended for a specific period.
- The management undertakes no responsibility in respect to student’s tools, drawing instruments etc.
- Everything produced in the institute by the students using institute material remains the property of the institute.
- Students shall not handle or displace any of the machines, models apparatus or book belonging to the institute except with the permission of the Principal.
- In case of damage of furniture, apparatus or other property of the institute, the cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to the student responsible for the damage. The management may impose collective fines to compensate for any damage.
- In no case, will any certificate be granted until all dues to the institute have been paid.
- In no case the student will be issued his final passing certificate until he/she completes his/her Industrial Training and obtains TRAINING CERTIFICATE from the Hotel / Beach Resort.
DRESS CODE
For Practical Classes & Theory Classes as per the institutions prescribed dress code. White Shirt & Black Pant is suggested.
TEXT BOOKS AND OTHER AIDS
Each candidate on admission must equip himself/herself with prescribed text books, journals and tool kit.
OFFICE WORKING HOURS
The Institute office is open at the following times :
Monday to Friday 8.45 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.
On Saturday from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
